The collection includes the National Board's newsletter and news service bulletins. Files deal with a variety of international human welfare issues such as the status of women, various organizations of the United Nations, the international peace effort, especially American policy in several conflicts, limitation of armaments, neutrality, and other issues, social and economic welfare covering housing, trade policies, price control, consumers, labor including wages and hours, child welfare, employment, training and vocational guidance, health insurance, social security, and women workers. Most of the minority group series is concerned with civil rights and race relations, employment problems, race discrimination during World War II, and segregation of blacks.
